We have a few requirements that all students must meet before being admitted to the school so that they can have a great learning experience. In order to avoid wasting your time or money, we want to make sure your child can handle our program and standard. Therefore, the Hifth program can be completed within three to two years if the child is able to complete it (insha Allah). If your child meets ALL of the following criteria, we encourage you to register them.
Masjid Bilal Hifth School Requirements:
- Age: At least 9 years old (minimum), we do not accept students younger than 9.
- It is important that your child is personally motivated to become a Hāfith.
- Students who are under pressure to do Hifth are not allowed.
- Your child must be able to recite the Quran with proper Tajweed.
- Hingaad (spell) Program: It is essential that your child know the essential skills of the Arabic language, such as reading and writing.
- At least 7 Juzes of the Quran must be completed by reading and your child must be able to read any page (by looking at it).
- The fluency of the students will be tested. Those with a background in Hifth will be given preference.
- The child should display (Akhlq and Adab – exemplary manners and character) toward the teacher and the Quran
- Once the entire Quran has been memorized and completed, a completion certificate will be awarded—
Schedule of Hifth program
- Mondays and Tuesdays, boys with Zoom
- On Wednesdays and Thursdays, girls with Zoom
- For boys, Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 2pm in a person with a teacher and for girls, 2pm to 6pm in person with a teacher
